This is the first shell piece of this series. It represents our wholeness.
These clam shells with a pearl pink center were found at a small beach inlet on Lake Ida in Delray Beach, Florida.
In each piece from this collection I use an acrylic medium. But what makes these special is that I also create a custom fine powder pigment out of the shells depicted in each painting that I found myself, and I use that paint on these paintings. I'm always so excited to see what the color will be. Each of these limited edition prints are hand embellished with this hand made shell pigment. Due to the limited supply of that pigment based off of the amount of shells I foraged, these prints are limited to 10.
