All shells for this piece were found along the shore of Juno Beach, FL. 
 
In each piece from this collection I use an acrylic medium. But what makes these special is that I also create a custom fine powder pigment out of the shells depicted in each painting that I found myself, and I use that paint on these paintings. I'm always so excited to see what the color will be. These full backgrounds are painted with that shell paint.
